Radiation Safety Committee
The Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) is responsible for reviewing protocols that involve radioactive material (RAM) at GW. The committee is made up of various authorized users and administrative personnel who meet quarterly. The RSC is regulated by our license application to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), which is available to any member of the RSC. Contact us if you would like to join the RSC.
Apply to Become an Authorized User
If you plan to work with RAM you must submit an application to become an authorized user. Submit the following forms to the Radiation Safety Officer at least three months in advance of the work to ensure proper review, lab setup, and scheduling of all necessary training.
- New Authorized User Application (DOC)
- Protocol Submission Form (DOC)
- Radiation Laboratory Commissioning Form (DOC)

Once we receive all of the forms you will be contacted to schedule the necessary training and exam. For guidance with the forms or if you have any questions please contact us.
