Lab Glove Usage

  • Wear gloves that extend over the sleeves of your lab coat and cover wrists.
  • Check gloves for breaks when you put them on (change if not intact).
  • Avoid touching shared clean surfaces with gloved hands (phone, door handle, etc.).
  • If allergic to latex, wear non-latex gloves.
  • Avoid wetting gloves with solvents or disinfectants which may cause them to deteriorate.
  • Always wash your hands after removing gloves.
  • Do not wear gloves or any other PPE in public access areas.
